prescribed.<\/li><li>The multi-dose KwikPen contains four doses; The additional volume is for priming and does not constitute a fifth dose.<\/li><li>The dose is increased progressively when appropriate, not automatically every week.<\/li><li>Each administration requires a new needle, correct technique, and a record of the day.<\/li><\/ul><\/section><section id=\"s1\"><h2>What does the KwikPen contain?<\/h2><p>European information describes the KwikPen as a multidose pen with four doses. Liquid may remain after the fourth administration, but attempting to inject it would result in an incomplete dose. It should not be drawn up with a syringe or used as a \u201cfifth dose.\u201d<\/p><div class=\"answer\"><strong>Rule of thumb<\/strong>Four full doses, four new needles and discard according to the leaflet. The remaining liquid is not reused.<\/div><\/section>\n<section id=\"s2\"><h2>Preparation and administration<\/h2><p>Before each use check the label, the appearance of the liquid, the condition of the pen and the date. Place a new compatible needle and prime as indicated in the instructions. Increases are made after a minimum period at the current dose and only when appropriate. Digestive tolerance, goals, other diabetes treatments, and clinical response influence follow-up.<\/p><div class=\"warning\"><h3>Do not adjust the dose by comparison<\/h3><p>Just because someone else uses a higher dose does not mean that that dose is right for you. Nor should it be accelerated to \u201close faster.\u201d<\/p><\/div><\/section>\n<section id=\"s4\"><h2>storage and frequent problems<\/h2><p>The KwikPen is kept refrigerated before use and, once started, European information establishes a period of use and a maximum temperature.
